For this role, our client is seeking an expert Senior Accountant that has ASC 606 and Revenue Recognition knowledge who will be responsible for utilizing accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Xactly to lead projects requiring technical accounting, calculate commission expenses, and complete product implementation. This is a full-time position during Eastern Time from 10 AM - 6 PM.

The following Job-related experience is required for potential candidates for this role:

  • Must have proven experience working as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience working in the Accounting field.
  • Must have professional knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606.
  • Must have experience with working in billing for any high tech company.
  • Must have proven experience with Revenue Recognition.
  • Working proficiency with Sage Intacct software and Microsoft Office is highly advantageous.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Familiarity with software such as Xactly, Tipalti, Salesforce, and Expensify is a huge advantage.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills is highly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate integrity and professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with the Corporate Controller to calculate and restate commission expenses per GAAP ASC 606.
  • Utilize Xactly software to complete the implementation of the CEA product.
  • Design, develop, and implement a process for capitalizing software development costs per ASC 350.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
  • Lead projects requiring technical accounting research, coordination, organization, communication, and problem resolution.
  • Write accounting memos to document accounting treatment per GAAP.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for assigned month-end accounts.
  • Serve as backup for all accounts payable using Sage Intacct, Tipalti, and Expensify.
  • Act as backup for all accounts receivable using Salesforce and Sage Intacct.
  • Periodically prepare and present financial reports for senior management.
  • Identify and implement process or system improvements.
  • Participate in and support company initiatives such as software implementations and process upgrades.
  • Document processes and cross-train in other areas to provide support during absences.
  • Complete special projects, ad hoc reporting, or other general duties as assigned.

Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits and compensation:

  • A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
  • A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
  • A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.
  • Fully-paid healthcare benefits after 2 months of full-time work.
  • Compensation range: $8 - 11.50 per hour.

* Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of employment, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
