Job Description:
As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python-based applications, APIs, and services. The role also includes developing ETL processes, integrating Python applications with databases, and overseeing the Junior Developer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong coding best practices and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience with Python and its standard libraries.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of modular programming techniques and solution design principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated experience implementing automation solutions independently.
- Ability to understand business processes and create process flow diagrams.
- Experience with system and software quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based applications, APIs, and services.
- Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while adhering to software development best practices.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to facilitate data integration across systems.
- Integrate Python with SQL databases and Microsoft Power Automate for automation and data management.
- Design RESTful APIs and implement API integrations.
- Oversee the Junior Developer, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Python-related application issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather application requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Document Python processes, applications, and API solutions for reference.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance application scalability and efficiency.
- Work with external consultants and developers as needed.
Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits:
- A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
- A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
- A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.

* Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of work, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
